Installation Instructions of Couplings – Sizes 14"-36"

Let’s find out steps to install couplings sizes between 14"-36" as mentioned below:

Examine end of the pipe for appropriate groove dimensions ensuring that ends of the grooved pipe are free from rust, burrs, indentations and scores.

Turn your gasket inside out and then slide the gasket properly over one of ends of the pipe to reduce the stretching important to place the gasket into an appropriate position.

Insert the two grooved pipe into the contact aligning ends of the pipe and lubricate the gasket sealing lips by employing a non-toxic gasket lubricant and non-petroleum base.

Working hands around circumference of the flip gasket and pipe towards ends of the mating of both grooved pipes so the sealing lips contain the pipe O.D. Position gasket at the center between the grooves of ends of the two pipes. None of the gasket’s portion should be extended into grooves.

Lubricate exterior surface of the interior gasket or pocket surfaces of casting housings.

Place the first housing over top of the gasket of the hose pipe to support the weight of housing segment ensuring housing keys are properly engaged into grooves.

Ensure that you assemble the adjacent housing with the nut and supplied bolt. Thereafter, rotate the secured housings using balancing the weight of housings on the top of pipe.

Bring together the outstanding housing by following the process. Ensure the weight of housings in balanced on the top of pipe.

Once the couplings are in place with the required nuts and bolts, tighten the nuts uniformly until coupling housings are firmly attached.
