Types of Diesel Fuel Dispensing Nozzles

Diesel fuel is delivered from equipment that is monitoredby control panels, valves, and, fuel switches. It is dispensed as per the fuel type through nozzles attached to hoses which are connected to the delivery system. When it comes to pressure-sensitive nozzles that are used to fill a tank which cannot be opened till the pumping system is pressurized at any of the service station.

There are some specifications like construction materials and flow rate that should be met for nozzles used for the diesel fuel.

Automatic Shut-Off Nozzle

The heavy-duty nozzle is made in such a way that it automatically shuts off when it spout aretipped upwards. In order to prevent the danger of fuel spillage, an automatic shut off feature is used. You can also easily control the nozzle with a single finger. This is an Underwriters Laboratories tested nozzle that meets all strict safety standards.

Plastic Manual Nozzle

The plastic manual nozzle is designed with a 1-inch swivel thread connection and used appropriately in the dispensing of diesel fuel. To make this nozzle durable, polyurethane is used. It is lightweight to make the manual fuel delivery manageable. Moreover, the plastic materials are compatible with the diesel fuel. The nozzle is Underwriters Laboratories tested for the safety purpose.

High Flow Nozzle

The nozzle features a vent tube and aluminum at the tip ends. It contains a rear hold-open clip for hands-free fueling. This nozzle is equipped with an overflow spillage spout which helps in preventing spilling and a plastic guard to decrease splashing.

Pre-Pay Nozzle

The diesel fuel nozzle is used in self-service stations which limits personnel and heavy traffic. It is produced to cut off a specific dollar limit or certain amount of gallons.
